A former North Carolina police officer, Xana Dove, is once again facing a litany of charges following her second arrest in an ongoing investigation across two counties. The Gastonia Police Department (GPD) and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) have jointly pursued this complex case.
Xana Dove, aged 26, is now in custody at the Gaston County Jail, with her bond set at $250,000. She is confronting a total of 32 felony charges, which include:
- 1 count of obstruction of justice
- 15 counts of unauthorized access to a government computer
- 1 count of conspiracy to sell marijuana
- 1 count of conspiracy to distribute marijuana
- 4 counts of felony conspiracy
- 1 count of conspiracy to purchase a stolen motor vehicle
- 1 count of possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana
- 2 counts of trafficking opiates through delivery
- 2 counts of trafficking opiates through transportation
- 2 counts of trafficking opiates through possession
- 2 counts of trafficking through sale
This recent development comes on the heels of Xana Dove’s initial arrest by CMPD on September 28, which led to charges of Obstruction of Justice, Conspiracy to Obtain Property by False Pretenses, and Filing a False Police Report. Following her arrest, she secured her release on September 29 after posting a $3,000 unsecured bond.
In an intriguing twist, Xana Dove’s twin sister, Xena Dove, was also taken into custody on the same day as Xana’s release by CMPD. Xena faced charges related to obtaining property on false pretenses and conspiracy. She posted a $1,000 secured bond.

Adding further complexity to the situation, Xena Dove encountered another arrest on December 7, possibly connected to extradition proceedings to another state. Her court appearances are scheduled for January 3 and 11, 2024, to address the four charges against her.
Former N.C. police officer Xana Dove is slated to appear in court for her latest charges on December 15. However, the precise nature of the relationship between the twin sisters’ legal issues has not been explicitly disclosed by authorities.
